Wednesday What?!: October 7, 2015

WW

Happy Wednesday, Twinkles! Woohoo~!

As this is the first Wednesday of our Musings birthday celebration, I thought that this month should be as much of a walk down memory lane for us as possible. So for the Twinkles who were part of the community from the beginning, this month will feel truly like a blast from the past while for the recently joined Twinkles, this month will feel like a montage of what you’ve missed before you joined. 🙂

So without further ado, let’s talk “Wednesday What?!” Last week’s challenge was easily answered by Newbie, truly a “newbie” to our community. 🙂 Congratulations! You’re this week’s Kdrama aficionado! If you’re curious about the comments, you can view them here.

Now for this week’s challenge…! It’s Wednesday, Twinkles! *blows noisemaker* And you know what this means. *wiggles eyebrows* The game’s afoot!

You know the drill, Twinkles.

1. The series…fairly easy.

2. The scene…a bit harder.

3. The episode…must be a true Kdrama aficionado. 😉

So…who’s going to be titled this week’s TRUE K-drama fan? I think this particular scene ranks up there as one of my favorite from the series. Ugh…how can anyone not love this scene?! The intensity! The feels! The silent eye language between the two! Ack~!

*breathes deeply and regains composure* I confess that I saw this particular scene a few times…OK, perhaps a few more times than that. lol

Anyhow, I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! Happy guessing, Twinkles!

  1. #3: Must be Mawiie :p

    Aaaanyway! Of course i know!

    1- The King 2 Hearts
    2- ep 20 (final)
3- They were at the DMZ and North and South were at the brink of war. The North refused to negotiate, so Jae Ha told Young Bae to shoot him, because *that* would definitely start a war. Hang Ah grabbed the gun and said that she’d shoot him herself, then follow him in death. *sobs* So the north finally decides to join hands with the South and accepted Jae Ha’s plan.

  2. King 2 Hearts is one of the best K-dramas I ‘ve ever watched. Shame on me for not remembering the episode, albeit I knew it was somewhere near the epic finale! Brava, @Mawiie!! 😉 *bowing*

This scene is a perfect example of the emotional roller coaster we were on for 20 straight episodes. I knew I was about to suffer tremendously when JH shot HA right there in front of everyone with steady hand and crazy eyes. It must be one of the most unexpected and tragic scenes in Korean mini-series.
It’s true that the performances overwhelmed me because I only knew LSG and HJW from Gumiho and Secret Garden respectively and those projects were nothing like K2H in terms of acting,- and it may take some time before we see anything similar to these characters, imho.

Happy Birthday to Musings’ happy place! May you stay for ever in K-dramaland and make us all deliriously happy! Aaaannnnd I really, really thank you for reminding us this drama, – it’s simply SK’s TV at its best! 🙂
