News: The Battleship Island (2017)

Let me first preface this post by confessing that I just got home from a 3-hour evening lecture, so I’m feeling a bit drained. I make no promises of complete coherence in this post. 😉

Barring certain lapses in coherent English, though, I just couldn’t resist sharing with you a trailer that I saw earlier today. Truthfully, I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw it during my lunch break.

You ready to see why, despite my tiredness and resolution to only blog on Fridays and Sunday evenings, I caved and am now blogging on a Wednesday night when I should already be asleep or at least getting ready to sleep? 😛

Get prepared to scream, Twinkles~! Some of our favorite eye candies are heading to the big screen in a historical movie of epic proportions, one that is clearly determined to wring out every last vestige of tears in our bodies if the trailer is any indication!

Doubt me? Take a look at this trailer and see for yourself…  Continue reading News: The Battleship Island (2017)

Friday Fun: Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Gum

ff-09-16-16

If the first part of 2016 belonged to Song Joong Ki with his blockbuster series Descendants of the Sun , I think it’s safe to say that his hoobae Park Bo Gum is staking the latter half of the year as his with Love in the Moonlight.

Shall we usher in the weekend with a fun little video of these two? 😉 Just be warned: Some of you may want to book the next flight to Korea. LOL   Continue reading Friday Fun: Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Gum

Friday Fun: Son Ho Young – “I Only Wanted You” (너만을 원했다 – Nice Guy OST)

FF 05-29-15

Happy Friday, Twinkles~! I hope you’re enjoying the last weekend of May. 🙂

I know that some of you are surprised to see me–after all, my finals aren’t over yet–but I made a promise to riotrio2 many months ago to help her and many other Song Joong Ki fans celebrate his military discharge and subsequent return to civilian life (and into more hearts) with a special Friday Fun song dedicated to his return. So…I hope you enjoy this request from our dear riotrio2! 🙂 Continue reading Friday Fun: Son Ho Young – “I Only Wanted You” (너만을 원했다 – Nice Guy OST)

News: Song Joong Ki Gone for Two Years

Song Joong Ki 1

One of Kdramas golden boys–or should I say men since Song Joong Ki is technically 28 years old, belying his youthful face–enters the Korean military today to start his two-year mandatory training and service.  Continue reading News: Song Joong Ki Gone for Two Years

Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 14

With only a few more recaps of SKKS left in my archives, I thought I would finish the series by posting one or two through the remaining October weekends. 🙂 I hope that these recaps/dialogues–if you choose to read them–will take you on a pleasant walk down memory lane. Enjoy!  Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 14

Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 13

Probably one of the most memorable and heartbreaking piggy-back rides in my memory of Kdramas, this ride that Moon Jae Shin gives Yoon Hee will remain as one of my top three piggy-back rides of all time, a fact that I mentioned in Jules’ great “The Thursday Three: September 27th” post. In addition to this piggy-back ride, episode 13 was also the episode that had our two principals literally fighting it out on the field during sports day. Needless to say, it was an awesome watch! 🙂  Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 13

Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 11 – Part 3

How adorable were these two?

Reposting a select number of these recaps from SKKS is proving to be quite a nice little walk down memory lane for me. Hope you feel the same way!  Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 11 – Part 3

Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 11 – Part 2

Here’s the second part of Episode 11. In total, I ended up writing three separate posts for episode 11. As you’ll soon see in the days to come, I slowly figured out a method to my “blogging.”

If you’re wondering why I included so many translations of the dialogue, it was because one of the English-subtitled video websites was unable to provide videos due to legal complications with KBS, so I was trying to fill the “void” with translations for the non-Korean-speaking population since no one could find access to English-subbed videos for a while.

Enjoy!  Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 11 – Part 2

Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 11

For those of you who joined this community after SKKS ended, you missed my first efforts at blogging. LOL. I laugh because, as you’ll soon see, I hadn’t quite gotten into the groove of blogging–no structure, no pictures, etc.

But for those of you who remember the “good, ol’ days,” I hope this month’s postings of “Walk down Memory Lane: SKKS” will bring back some nice memories. Of course, I’ll try to add a picture here and there for your viewing pleasure, but for the most part, I’ll leave the posts untouched. Yes, despite my desire to revise them. LOL. Enjoy! Here’s the post from October 4, 2010–the post that started my blogging journey into Kdramaland: Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 11
