Let me first preface this post by confessing that I just got home from a 3-hour evening lecture, so I’m feeling a bit drained. I make no promises of complete coherence in this post. 😉
Barring certain lapses in coherent English, though, I just couldn’t resist sharing with you a trailer that I saw earlier today. Truthfully, I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw it during my lunch break.
You ready to see why, despite my tiredness and resolution to only blog on Fridays and Sunday evenings, I caved and am now blogging on a Wednesday night when I should already be asleep or at least getting ready to sleep? 😛
Get prepared to scream, Twinkles~! Some of our favorite eye candies are heading to the big screen in a historical movie of epic proportions, one that is clearly determined to wring out every last vestige of tears in our bodies if the trailer is any indication!
Doubt me? Take a look at this trailer and see for yourself… Continue reading News: The Battleship Island (2017)
I can’t believe the month of October is over after today and with it, the opportunity for more walks down memory lane for 2016. 🙁
Ah well, all good things must come to an end at some time, I suppose, and there’s always next year as bittersweet as this may seem right now. On the bright side, it’ll just make us anticipate the “Walk down Memory Lane” for 2017 all the more! 😉
For our fourth and final memory for 2016’s “Walk down Memory Lane” then, I thought it only fitting that we conclude this year’s stroll through our memories with the blockbuster of 2013. 🙂 Thanks for being a part of so many wonderful memories…! Happy Sunday, Twinkles~!
You’ll have to excuse me this week as I deviate from my weekly “Eye Candy” post of Baek Jin Hee and Park Seo Joon, but I think you’ll grant me this leeway once I explain why. 🙂
In honor of our original Eye Candy’s upcoming birthday–Yes, So Ji Sub is turning a glorious 3-9 this November 4th!–I thought it only appropriate that he be given some screen time with our Ms. Eye Candy 2016. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to post a celebratory blog post on the 4th. 😉 However, if I don’t, then consider this my annual nod to our original Eye Candy. 🙂
On that note, I hope you’re all ready to tackle another week! 🙂 Here’s to a fabulous week then, Twinkles! *pumps fist*
Are words really necessary at this point? 😉
As I type this post, the above is the countdown to the first broadcast of Oh My Venus. 🙂 I’m a bit late today in reporting the countdown, but better late than never, right? 😉
For those of us just counting by the days…T-15 days!
As of this exact moment as I type this post, the above is the countdown to the first broadcast of Oh My Venus. 🙂 Heh, I did say that I had begun to count down, didn’t I? 😉
For those of us counting by days…T-16 days!
Tea Time~! Come join me for tea this afternoon. 🙂
In this third episode, I cover Twenty Again (2015), Oh My Venus (2015-2016), chit chat about random things, and open a package from XXYYZZ.
Also featured in this episode are Mini-Grace (by Tabitha), Panda Eyes (one of our mascots) and Snoopy mug from the Charlie Brown Cafe (gift from little brother in Korea).

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you’re excited for the weekend! I sure am! *smiles* Can you tell that I’m thrilled that the work week is over by the plethora of exclamation points? 😉
For this Friday’s music selection, I thought that I would give all you So Ji Sub and Kim Ji Won fans a visual treat with a song from their One Sunny Day OST. Granted, the lyrics are a bit repetitive, but the simplicity of the lyrics somehow seems to emphasize the beauty and simpleness of one person confessing his/her affection for the other. I hope you feel the same way as you listen to this soothing song and usher in the “glorious” weekend. 🙂 Continue reading Friday Fun: Ggotjam Project (꽃잠프로젝트) – “I Like You” (OST from One Sunny Day)
I debated whether to blog about this song under the “SJS” corner or as part of the “Friday Fun” corner and decided on the former because, as much as I adore SJS in Road No. 1 and The Master’s Sun, I am not a particular fan of his music, and “Friday Fun” songs are reserved for songs that I absolutely adore. *shrugs* I lean more towards 30s, 40s, 50s, and 80s/90s style of music. What can I say? 😛
Anyhow, when I choose to support someone–whether in Real Life or in Kdramaland–it’s with the realization that this support encompasses both the “good” and the “bad,” so…I decided to blog about his newest contribution to the hip-hop music industry…even though I don’t love hip-hop or his song. In fact, after several listens to it in preparing this post, I’m left feeling a bit off-kilter. You’ll soon see why.
Warning: Although the music video is probably rated at PG-13, I would caution the more visually susceptible viewers from watching the video since the music video is quite stylized and aims to make a bold and “unique” statement. But then again, if you’re familiar with So Ji Sub, his dabbling in the “unique” is nothing new to you. 😉 I issue this warning in particular to the younger Twinkles in our community (13 years old and younger). Please feel free to pass on this post if you think the music video will be disturbing to you. I promise that I won’t be offended. 😉 Continue reading SJS: “18 Years” MV and Musings
This post starts the inaugural posting of one of the new corners that I mentioned a while ago: “So Ji Sub Update” corner. 😀
Heh, I bet some of you thought that just because I had given Lee Sang Woo the title of “Mr. Eye Candy 2014” that I had forgotten all about So Ji Sub.
*scoffs* Au contraire, mes amis! Remember that my nickname is “Turtle” and I am ever the diligent, steadily progressing, and most of all, faithful turtle. 😉
Without further ado, let’s take a look at what our dear SJS has been up to since his last unforgettable drama project, The Master’s Sun. Continue reading SJS: June 2014 Update
As I get ready for the new year, I stumbled upon another post that never *cough cough* made it to publication. *sheepish eyes* I thought I’d share with you what I had written way back on September 4th before real life prevented me from finishing:
Despite my initial disappointment with this episode, I want to say that this is a solid addition to the story. Instead of speeding along on the romantic storyline first, the Hong sisters are choosing to establish a firm foundation of friendship between our two principals, which I find satisfying and meaningful.
So, why the initial disappointment, you ask? All I can say is that a craftily constructed preview–yes, I’m talking about you, episode 8 preview which promised so much but delivered so little in the area of romance!–can be a powerful force. So powerful, in fact, that I couldn’t see past my disappointment for the first few hours after viewing this episode. *shakes head* I’ll revisit this in greater detail after the recap.
Without further ado, let’s dive in!
