Musing for Today: Roll Call

Hi, everyone! I’m going to bed tonight without recapping Arang and the Magistrate Episode 10 since I think I might be coming down with something. I’m determined not to get sick this semester. 🙂 I hope you’re not too disappointed. Rest assured…I will be back tomorrow, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to recap to my heart’s desire.

Now, I mentioned a few days ago that I was doing some “digital cleaning,” right? Well, in the process of this cleaning, I noticed that the very first day I blogged on “Musings of a Twinkie” was back on October 4, 2010.

Can you believe our little blog is going to be 2 years old this October? Granted, we moved a year ago from musings-of-a-twinkie.blogspot.com to koreandramareviews.com, so it may not feel like two years to some of you….

Anyhow, the reason for this post is because I’m curious how many Twinkles are regularly reading this blog. I know the majority of you read and forego the comments, which is fine, but I’m planning something in honor of our blog’s 2nd birthday and would like to know how many regular twinkles we have in this community.

If you would, could you comment below with your name–at least the one we know you by–and a quick history of when you started regularly reading/taking part in our community. For instance, I would write “Snoopy’s Twinkie” even though my real world name is “Grace.” My very first “Musings” post was a short little blurb on Sungkyunkwan Scandal Episode 11, and a part of me wonders if anyone from two years ago is still reading. Heh…

Yes, you understood correctly. I’m requesting a roll call of all the twinkles out there in kdramaland.  If you’re curious, leave the requested comment and wait until October 4, 2012. 🙂

All right, off to bed for this little twinkie. Good night! Sweet dreams, my twinkles!

Very first musing: I found you for “A Thousand Kisses”. I think I’m fairly new to the community =)

I hope you feel better Snoopy’s Twinkie! I’ve been sick for about a month now and finally went to the doctor and got yelled at. Nothing like feeling like you’re 10 when you’re 30, lol.

    1. Oh my niema lol thats dangerous! Shall I scold you too? Jk xD take care of yourself and get well soon!

      Im also starting to get sick. This darn nose of mine -_-;;

      1. LoL! My husband also yelled at me and now calls frequently asking if I took my medicine. I still feel that I could have battled it and not spent so much on the medication but oh well. Time to put it to use. Thanks Wol(lie)!

  2. Hello!!! I’m Ayesha(@ayesnoona in twitter). My first “Musings” was The Kings 2 Heart back in March, since then I visit your site regularly. Your “Movie Monday” has been beyond helpful to watch korean movies…Keep the hard work!!!

    1. First comment?!?!?! (sorry i get excited bc no one comments as much, myself included) welcome and continue to support Twinkie 😀 *pats head*

  3. I am Wol, (Alyssa), I started following you for A Thousand Kisses recaps, I believe, and I explored from there 😉 now you cant kick me out even if you wanted to 😀

  4. Im sorry for spamming this post but about Arang, I was reading some Chinese folklore stories and I came upon a story of a king whose kingdom was suffering from famine because of a drought and then a mysterious man came and made it rain and they became all buddy buddy but one day, when they were walking, they found a well. The man pushed the king into the well and sealed him up. He died there and then three years later, he asks for help from a man who was “endowed” with powerful supernatural powers. What is interesting between this story and Arang is 1. The supernatural powers = Eun Oh!! 2. The time difference. Three years since his death. And 3. The king’s body was preserved also when removed from the well, heres an excerpt: “The fact that in some mysterious way the soul had not been separated from the body accounted for its remarkable preservation.” so Arang’s preserved body could have been because she was not completely separated from her body and lingered around Miryang

  5. I also found you as a result of A Thousand Kisses. Even though the drama was a disappointment, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I found your blog and have met a lot of new tweet buddies as a result of it! Don’t always comment but guaranteed to read most posting, not always the drama ones because I only read the ones I’m watching. We all love and support you, ST! Twinkles, united!

  6. Hello ST and fellow twinkles! I first came across this blog last year while searching for King2Hearts recaps. Think it was September? First time I can remember commenting was for the Sept giveaway 😎 it has been wonderful getting to know all of you here!

  7. Ooh, me! I visit the site verrrry often. 😉

I think I first found MoaT sometime last year, when searching for A Thousand Kisses recaps. So, though the drama was, er, not the best, I’m thankful to it for introducing me to this site, to ST, and to my fellow Twinkles.

(and take care of yourself, please! your health is more important than recaps. *hands you hot tea*)

  8. Mawiie here! I came across this blog sometimes back in June when I was in my King 2 Hearts withdrawal and I was looking for other recaps of it (because by that time I probably knew the one from DB by heart xD)

I remember spending a whole afternoon reading older posts, and I’ve discovered a few new movies from your Movie Monday!

  9. Hi this is heesoup! I read your blog ever since you had the old website. Then you moved to this one! 🙂 I remember reading your Thousand Kisses posts because I used to be obsessed with that drama until the horrible downfall~

  10. Help hello my lovely Twinklings

I am Farah aka KStyle from Florida, gidditdone! If you are wondering where the K comes from, it’s for Korean.
I happen to find this lovely and awesome treasure when looking for recaps of A thousand Kisses, yes yes I did ride that crazy train and I still love it even though I will never never never watch that again, call it temporary insanity 🙂

I love this community and of course Twinkie unnie cuz it’s awesome and so helpful especially MovieMondays and Jules’ new segment The Thursday Three ( so cool).

Everyone please lend me your support and prayers cuz I’m headed to Korea soon to start my teaching job and I’m so freaking excited for the opportunity to look at cute guys all day, lol j/k. Na I’m really excited to be teaching and give my Twinkling Fam updates on what’s going on overseas ^.^

  11. Anita is my name. I’m not sure but I think I found my way here looking for anything and everything concerning A Thousand Kisses. Even though that was one disappointing piece of mess. I found you guys. What a pleasure. I don’t post much but I’m still around.

  12. Jane!

Gosh, I don’t remember when I started this blog but I do remember it was when people referred to you as Snoopy’s Twinkie haha!

    🙂

  13. Came to your site while looking for A Thousand Kisses recap. Dropped the drama mid-way but fell in love w/ Ji Hyun Woo. Am surprised he flew under my korean drama radar. Have watched him since in Queen In Hyun’s Man & Invincible Lee Pyung Kang, he was totally cute, adorable & hilarious & then he was off for military service. 🙁 I read a lot of kdrama blogs but I never ever comment ever, this site/blog is the exception!!^ ^ Ellen is me. 🙂

  14. Yess ATK was what led me here and loving it here I completely forget about other blogs, hehe
Lena is me all the way from Malaysia, haha

Like most of us here, I guess we learn to share our thoughts here rather than at other blogs.
Why?? I think bcos Twinkie is so accomodating, at least that is what I feel!!
