Starring: Eugene as Park Eun Ho, Ha Suk Jin as Hwang Ki Baek, Im Chae Moo as Park Ji Man, and Kim Soo Mi as Shim Mal Nyeon
Rating: PG-13, colorful language…in English
Running Time: 115 min
Synopsis: Sweet and easygoing Eun Ho grew up in a normal middle-class household with a strict and traditional father. Willful plastic surgeon Ki Baek was born into a wealthy family, and has the ego to match his income.
Their two worlds collide quite literally when they meet through a paragliding accident. It’s a classic case of opposites attract as they fight, falter, and fall in love, but their incompatible families are determined to break them forever.
Musings: I enjoyed this movie even though the storyline could have been just a little more tighter. I think I enjoyed watching the main cast, Eugene (Eun Ho) and Ha Suk Jin (Ki Baek) the most.
I am a fan of Eugene and as always, her acting is pretty good. This was the first time seeing Ha Suk Jin in a lead and let’s just say I concentrated more on his handsome self than his acting.
But I only have one thing to say about Kim Soo Mi who plays Ki Baek’s Mom, she is hysterical!! Every cuss word is in English and it has to be the first time ever seeing s**t thrown together with Happy, Funky!!
Their attempts to keep the couple apart were interesting to watch; probably didn’t make too much sense as it seemed their main objections were pretty weak. However, the funniest scene was when they put a camera in Eun Ho’s workshop but Ji Man (Eun Ho’s Papa) forgot the microphone so they proceeded to act out what the couple’s conversation was about. Pretty funny stuff. And seriously WILD hair-do, Momma!
Overall, it’s still a movie worth watching and the ending is cute! Make sure you watch during the credits! I was ROFLMAO!!!!
