Musings:

Calling all Woobie fans! Calling all Woobie fans! You will definitely like this one. It was a nice departure from his usual High School fare and rich chaebol roles. I always look forward to seeing these actors in “something more challenging”. This movie fits that bill. It required muscle and action, for sure. It required showing us your mechanical skills with weaponry and tools; I approve. While the story, at times, was slow pace in getting to the “meat” of the story, I enjoyed it for the action and the fact that it was different for all of the younger cast.

Sorry Woobie fans, the big standout for me was definitely Lee Hyun Woo as Jong Bae. As an electronic expert as well as skilled to the max with weaponry, it was nice to see him in this movie as this character. As you can expect, this movie is featuring the dark side and that even there, the levels of good and bad exist.

Now, Im Ju Hwan as the evil assistant/henchman of President Jo was an extra added treat for me. This role was a CLEAR departure from his other roles and definitely prepped him for his role in “Oh My Ghost” but I think his evil persona didn’t need the extra added scar on his face; overkill much?

Overall, not the best or great movie but will entertain you from beginning to end. I enjoyed the acting, the characters and at time, the story. For one of my favorite movie genre, it was just okay. However, steer away if you are sensitive to violence. This movie has its share.

Don’t know if you have seen the movie “Steal My Heart” with Joo Won and Kim Ah-joong, but it was a terrific comedy that both my daughter and myself loved. It’s also on Dramafever.
Looking forward to your next review.
We were also able to catch the newly released movie “Memories of the Sword” which was showing in our city. My daughter rarely cries, but we both did our share of bawling ~ wonderful story.
