Musings: Surprisingly, this was a decent movie. A lot of action sequences as the story premise was on a spy network that was trying to take over the South Korean economy as well as capture the daughter of a North Korean industrialist that had been killed. There was a lot of scenes as the movie takes place in both Thailand and South Korea.
Daniel Henney as the spy, Ryan was fabulous as well as handsome. For once, his Korean when spoken didn’t sound so tortured! He’s been practicing.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a “bad” Seol Kyeong-gu movie. This was no exception. The acting was great and as I said, so was the action. Moon So-ri as the wife, Young-Hee was decent. I can’t say that I’ve had much movie experience with her, so far. As always, a great supporting cast. Even though this is deemed a action/comedy, I’d say it is heavier on the action but does have its “funny” moments. Overall, a good movie for the weekend watch. I recommend it.
