Synopsis: A Chuseok special family drama about a woman who is losing her eye-sight and has to depend on guide dog, and a cop who helped her as she tackles being an English language teacher.

Musings: This 2 episode drama special was kind of a surprise. I admit I started watching this simply because of Han Ji Hye and liking her so much in Legendary Witch. So, when I found this movie special, I decided to give it a try.

I guess even you are amazed of a blind teacher teaching students English, I sure was. One thing this drama special showed you was the good and the bad of being disabled in a major city in South Korea and the trials/tribulations that a person’s limitations has but also their ability to overcome them. I especially liked how she dealt with each issue thrown her way; from unruly student, parent and even her parents’ understanding of her determination to be self-sufficient.

A nice drama special to watch with family as it features what not to do with the blind. I’m still incredulous over the scene when she lost her dog on the train; simply because of uncaring people not taking into consideration of a blind person. Please tell me this was entertainment and not real life. Overall, it was an easy watch and an enjoyable two hours.

Unfortunately no trailer is available but the drama special can be found on various websites.

I’m available on Twitter. Thanks to all of you Twinkles out here who are taking the time to read! If you have a suggestion for a future review, just leave me a comment! I’m always happy to have movie suggestions.

  1. I’ll have to look for this one. My grand daughter was blind. Sadly it has been my experience that there are many thoughtless people in the world. I had a teacher ask me if she was really blind because she had “eyes” and they moved. She said “…but she doesn’t LOOK blind…” I was speechless. I asked her what a blind person SHOULD look like LOL
