Synopsis: Choon-Seob is a talent manager. When his client run aways with another manager to America, Choon-Seob goes to America himself. In America, Choon-Seob agrees to a contract marriage and through the staged marriage now has six children. Choon-Seob then discovers that the eldest daughter June is an excellent singer. With Choon-Seob’s encouragement, June takes part in an audition program and Choon-Seob attempts to mold June into a star …

Musings: Let me just start off and say: Where in the HELL did they find a Korean speaking, heavyset, black man in Georgia?!!

Okay, I had to get that off my chest. I feel infinitely better! Thank you twitter buddy, NeeNee for recommending this. I enjoyed this from beginning to end. I laughed a little; cried a little and just had a lot of fun watching it.

I have seen Park Yong Woo in several movies and this was definitely the first comedy. I was totally surprised by such an International cast.

From 2 white, rapping little boys and the cutest little girl to an over-sized, Korean speaking Black Man! Wow! Must admit that I was totally impressed with the story line and the selection of the cast.

Go Ah Ra as June was a pleasant surprise. I call her a triple threat: she sings, she dances, and thankfully, she can act! This was my first experience with Ah Ra. It was truly a pleasure as she sung all in English. Most of the movie focuses on the “We Audition”; kind of like American Idol.

A very nice surprise was to see Daniel Henney who played a Music Producer. Okay, maybe it is just Korean movies and dramas, but I always go away with the same thought: He is just never really comfortable on the screen!

One of the funniest scenes was when Choon-Seob realized Gordon (played by Michael MacMillan) could speak Korean. Choon-Seob asks him how he learned: DaeJangGeum! My favorite movie!! So what does Choon-Seob tells in to call him? His Highness and he will call him Court Lady. Gordon says he wants to be called Eunuch. Ahh, Gordon, not a good idea and Choon-Seob takes pleasure in whispering to him why..

Overall, I liked the movie and I especially liked the nice little ending. Definitely a fun movie to watch! Enjoy!
