Musings: Russ, don’t shoot me! I know how you don’t like sad movies but for me, watch this one!!
Forget for a moment the synopsis where you read the leading character, Hye-won has a terminal disease. The reason why I wanted to review this movie was because it was just a beautiful and well-planned story. I know, a lot of people don’t like sad endings but when you look at the whole story and watch it from the perspective of the two people, Hye-won and Min-su, you will definitely change your mind!
These were two people that were meant to be together! Hye-won, at one moment, even stated that their chance meeting at the bus stop was destined. Whether it was the bus stop or on the street; fate meant for them to be together. I believe that was the case. Min-su had never been in love and just went from dating one woman after the other but that definitely changed from the moment he met Hye-won who basically didn’t care! Her attitude, which Min-su wasn’t used to, worked as the attracting mechanism. He went from being the pursuee to the pursuer!!
In addition to their story, I must add in the factor of both of them having great friends in Soo Jin and Kyung-Min. Kyung-min’s pursuit of Soo-Jin throughout the movie added to the comedic side of the story. Their first meeting in the elevator, you’ll see what I mean, it was pretty funny.
I’ve admitted to the fact that I rarely watch romances because it is really hard to find good ones in my estimation; however, this definitely gets rated in the good category for me! And the ending? Perfect! Title? Perfect! Funny how you can watch a movie and you already know how it’s going to end but your sadly quickly fades with just one video. No idea what I’m talking about? Watch the movie and you’ll see.
