Synopsis: Inspired by Shakespeare’s classic of the same name. Beautiful and rich, Yeon-soo lives a life of freedom and indulgence, having any man she wants. That is, until she meets and falls for her polar opposite in Jeong-do, an awkward and polite young gentleman. Meeting her future in-laws is a baptism by fire as she learns to become a proper lady. Little does she know that her family member and father are actually the head of a notorious mob, setting up a blood feud.
Musings:I like rarely watch or sing the praises of romance movies or even dramas, let’s make that clear from the beginning! However, I can’t help it, this was a cute movie! It had a lot of actors that I was familiar with and some not so familiar with. Park Jin Woo, who I already thought was handsome is just too cute in this as the eldest son of an old Korean family.
Watching the transformation of Yeon Soo was hilarious and fun to watch. From party girl to proper daughter-in-law. This was my first encounter with Park Jung Ah and what a nice introduction it was! Loved her! Park Jin Woo as Jeong Do was just to cute (how many times can I say that!!??)! I enjoyed just watching him on the screen.
Seeing Lee Won Jong as Yeon Soo’s Dad was hysterical! This really was a fun movie to watch. And let’s not forget the handsome cast!! Okay, that’s enough glowing over Park Jin Woo.
If you realize something, I hardly watch romances. Generally, I find the stories to be boring and uninteresting. But, this movie I was smiling from beginning to end! At times, I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing at the same time. This was definitely a rare gem of a movie and I was really glad to find it!
