Starring: Bong Tae Gyu, Park Shin Hye, Lee Jong Ho, and Park Seo Yeon
Running Time: 70 minutes (a KBS2 Special Drama/Movie)
Synopsis: Lee Moon Ki (Bong Tae Gyu) has amnesia, induced by his recent car accident, when he meets Kim Yeon Hwa (Park Shin Hye), a ghost. He tries to recover his memories with Yeon Hwa’s help and in the process uncovers how she died. Her only request is that he remember her, and when he does, he’s left with the haunting realization of the truth behind her death.
As disturbing as the truth may be for him, he still wants to remember it because that means that he’ll remember her, a testament of the strength of his love for her.
Musings: Today’s suggestion is inspired by Arang and the Magistrate. It’s a special movie produced by KBS2, and I stumbled upon it today and thought some of you might like to see it. It follows a similar plot device as Arang and the Magistrate in that a female ghost appears before a human man, but that’s the extent of the similarities.
The story is an “interesting” one, but what kept me watching wasn’t so much the story as the adorable interactions between the two main characters. I debated whether to rate this a 3 or 3.5, but decided to give it a 4 at the end since the cute moments between the two characters and the strength of the acting kept me watching the movie. I hope I just made sense. LOL
I don’t know how long the movie will be on YouTube, so if you want to take a look, you can click on the link to the movie here. As usual, you can also check out the movie with the below trailer. Enjoy! Sorry the post was a bit late, but a Tuesday post is better than no “Movie Monday,” right? 😉
