This week’s movie selection is Cyrano Agency, a film I saw as I was traveling to Korea in 2010. 🙂 Good memories of flying over international waters into Korea as I was entertained by this strong cast of actors.

The movie itself is a variation of the story written by French writer Edmond Rostand, a story which has seen many theatrical as well as cinematic productions internationally. Cyrano Agency is South Korea’s take on that age-old story of boy trying to get the girl to fall in love with him.

As we head into the season of Valentine’s Day (It’s seriously being touted everywhere I go…geez. LOL. There should be a day devoted to celebrating singles, too!), I thought it might be fitting to recommend a movie that portrays the difficulty people have in finding love. Granted, this movie exaggerates the extremes some people may go to capture the hearts of their beloved; nevertheless, I appreciate the nuances of each character’s personality and insecurities. Outwardly, these four main characters are beautiful, talented, etc., but inwardly, each of them have fears, regrets, and insecurities that belie their outward appearance. It’s definitely a good reminder that people are still people…no matter how drop-dead-gorgeous they may be. 🙂

I hope that those of you who have the time and the inclination to watch this movie are entertained and find it worth your time. I know that I enjoyed it…despite some of its crazy plot twists. LOL.

Below are just two random screenshots I took of the movie for you to enjoy…Happy Monday, everyone!

  1. I lost interest after the first 30 minutes BUT it did lead me to a movie I had been looking for called Blind with Kim Ha-Neul. Not for the squeamish as its a crime story but it was phenomenal!!! So thanks for the link, it lead me to another one that I did like.
