For those of you who have never heard of MBC Drama Festival, it is a series of 10 episodes that features one-episode stories by new directors and writers, stories oftentimes considered experimental or unconventional stories. This year’s festival started back on September 4th, but I didn’t get a chance to check out the showcase of episodes until today…because one of my favorite actresses Kim Seul Gi is headlining today’s broadcast titled, The Diary of a Resentful Woman. Her smirk in the cover picture seems to say it all, doesn’t it? 😉
Premise: Kong Ji (Kim Seul Gi) is a well-known Korean character not particularly known for her beauty or personality, and in this short drama, writer Kim Ji Hyun tells the tale of a bookish Kong Ji who suddenly becomes interested in marriage after so many years of disinterest.

If you’re interested in finding out more about this episode, you can check out MBC’s website (here), hancinema’s website (here), and the actual raw episode (here or here in two parts: 1 and 2). I hope you enjoy this drama with one of Korea’s darling–and mouthy–sweethearts! Yes, I’m becoming quite the big fan of Kim Seul Gi and her wide mischievous smile! 😉
