Marriage, Not Dating: Episode 3 Video Preview #2 and English Translation

MnD 3.1

Now that our Jang Mi (Han Groo) has finally regained her good senses regarding Hoon Dong (I’m planning on calling him “Louse” from now on to embody both definitions of insect and man, so be prepared! LOL), it seems as though she’s susceptible to flights of imagination…with Han Yeo Reum (Jung Jin Woon) as the object of her musings. Oh dear…here we go again! 😉 Incidentally, Yeo Reum’s full name can also mean “One Summer.” I guess the writer, too, has a thing for names that carry dual meanings. Heh. 🙂

Anyhow, let’s take a look at the newest video clip preview to whet our appetites for Friday’s episode!

Rating: PG-13

Dialogue Translation:

Jang Mi: (heaves a sigh in frustration) If he’s going to be like that, then why did he fish out my shoe? And why ask to have dinner, huh? Why say that he was going contact me and confuse me, huh?

Gi Tae: Are you really interested in learning Han Yeo Reum’s real inner thoughts? Shall I teach you?

Jang Mi is intrigued.

Script: That person has not fallen for you?

Jang Mi: (shares her food with Yeo Reum and feeds him a spoonful) We…Want to be meal friends?

Yeo Reum gives her a smile, which Jang Mi returns.

Script: Sincerity? Or playing hard to get?

Gi Tae: (begins to take off his shirt) I’ll treat you better. (I couldn’t catch the other sentence he says.)

Jang Mi: What? What have you done?!

Yup, the hijinks are in full force as Gi Tae assumes two roles: one as Jang Mi’s dating consultant to help her navigate through the mysterious minds of men and the other as her boyfriend to avoid his mother’s ever-insistent pressure for that wedded state we fondly call matrimony. Heh.

I’m curious to see how Yeo Reum will figure into Jang Mi’s relationship with Gi Tae…if we can even call their association a “relationship” right now. 😉 Jang Mi’s and Gi Tae’s association has the perfect premise for a solid relationship in the future. Think about it: she’ll gain insight into men directly from Gi Tae, and Gi Tae will learn about Jang Mi’s thoughts and expectations about relationships and marriage from the proverbial horse’s mouth. Nice! I’ve also loved premises like this! 😉

Hmmm…Friday’s looking awfully good right now! 😉 *chants Friday! Friday! Friday!*

    1. You’re very welcome! I’m glad that you found our little community of Kdrama lovers, ladida! 🙂

  1. hello. i am tremendously enjoying marriage not dating, it’s been a while since i liked a korean drama enough to look for preview translations. thank you for sharing…

i was wondering, if it’s not too much to ask, if maybe you can share the music featured in the drama?

i want to try to check it out but as i don’t have information on the song title and artist, and i don’t know korean, i really don’t know where to look.

it was easy to find information on the drama’s soundtrack, the theme song was really fun to listen to, but i have trouble with everything else.

it took me a few days to identify “will you marry me?” by lee sung gi, the one joo jang mi was singing when she was getting the hotel room ready for her date or proposal.

anyway, thank you again for providing translations for the previews!

    1. Hi, Elle!
Glad you’re joining us for the ride! 🙂
I usually don’t mention songs/OSTs. However, from time to time, I do mention songs and/or other Twinkles on the site will do so. I’ll see what I can do in the coming episodes!
Lee Seung Gi’s song was inspired for that scene, wasn’t it? 🙂 I’m sorry to hear that it took you a while to locate it. I was teasing our resident maknae on the site when I saw the episode that her sweetie’s song was showcased in the episode. LOL
