The Kdrama world was abuzz earlier this week with news of a Glorious Day press conference. Needless to say, the event was a relatively quiet affair designed to generate more interest in the series now that the all-consuming tragedy of the ferry accident has subsided just a tad bit. Given the nature of the Korean culture and community mindset, many aspects of Korean life are still affected by the recent tragedy. 🙁
In any case, below is a clip of the press conference. I probably won’t get around to translating all of the video, but I thought that some of you might be interested in at least seeing it. 🙂 Enjoy!
Lee Sang Woo: (answering the question of why he selected the drama) First of all, the writer and the director…They are good. But more importantly, I liked the title, “A Good-Feeling Day.”
Park Se Young basically describes at one point how her real personality is very much like Jung Da Jung’s.
Kim Hyung Kyu (Seo In Woo) explains how his character is very different from his real life personality, especially since he grew up under a no-nonsense big brother and in a conservative, traditional Korean household.
*Addendum at 10pm May 14, 2014: I forgot to mention that Kim Mi Sook (Han Song Jung) talked about how Song Jung and the shady husband are actually divorced. The episodes (1-6) hadn’t clarified yet whether he had just left her or had actually divorced her, so Kim Mi Sook’s explanation of her character’s background was quite helpful. From here on out, I’ll be referring to the shady husband as her ex-husband. Whew~! Personally, I’m glad that he doesn’t have any legal connection to her anymore, which leaves the path clear for her to get together with Nam Goong Young. 🙂
I also found it particularly hilarious how Son Chang Min (Nam Goong Young) mentioned that in a previous series, he played a student to Kim Mi Sook’s teacher role, but here in Glorious Day, they are portraying a couple. 🙂 The irony of this relationship change! 😉
Oh! And I forgot to mention that Lee Sang Woo said that Seo Jae Woo is very much like his real personality. *squees in delight* Can you tell that I adore Jae Woo and Lee Sang Woo yet? 😉
