Yup, the D-R-A-M-A has started, and our little turtle loves are left with bruised and aching hearts. 🙁
I’ve only been able to watch the clips (below) due to my Sunday duties, but I’ll be back with the nutshell of Episode 20 before the end of the day…I hope.
You can watch the raw video of Episode 20 here.
Tear-jerker clip of Da Jung and Jae Woo:
Dialogue Translation: This is the last scene of the episode in which Da Jung returns home after confronting her father and realizing that the horrible toad is going to make hers and her family’s lives miserable. When she gets off at her bus stop, it’s to find Jae Woo welcoming her with open arms, arms that she realizes she can no longer accept nor afford to want…not if she wants Jae Woo to be free from her father’s clutches. To Jae Woo’s stunned surprise, Da Jung walks past him, blatantly rejecting his open arms.
Da Jung: (to the very shocked Jae Woo) We…are going to be seeing each other for a very long time you said, right?
Jae Woo nods solemnly, waiting in dreaded anticipation of her next words.
Da Jung: I want to be able to do so as well.
Relieved, Jae Woo smiles briefly before taking a step toward Da Jung, only to stop at Da Jung’s next words.
Da Jung: Seo Jae Woo shi…
Da Jung’s face becomes even more devoid of life as she finishes her difficult request.
Da Jung: …become…my big brother.
Do I even need to say anything? *breathes deeply to dispel heartache* The helpless and pained expressions on these two turtles’ faces say what more than a thousand words cannot possible articulate. 🙁 The good news is that I don’t think Jae Woo’s going to simply accept her request. At least that is why I ascertain from the look that came over his face right before the freeze frame. 🙂
For your viewing pleasure, below are the other video clips that SBS has released on YouTube. Enjoy!
Goong Young maneuvering against Shady X-Toad:
Goong Young’s plan to extricate Shady X-Toad out of Song Jung’s life continues:
In Woo’s heart-to-heart talk with Dr. Kang: In Woo shows what a wonderful brother he is in this scene. If he had to lose Da Jung to anyone else, he couldn’t have wished for a better guy than his brother, who is the best man that he knows in this world. Aw…
Da Jung’s encounter with her father: Through this horrible meeting, Da Jung realizes that her father is going to become a menace to her mother and the rest of the family and that she has no choice but to protect Jae Woo from becoming her husband, which will require that he deal with this loathsome human being of a father.
Let’s hope for happier times soon. I’ll be back with the nutshell soon…!
