Friday Fun: Jung Seung Hwan and Park Yoon Ha – “In Sorrow, I Have to Forget You”

FF 02-20-15

It’s Friday, Twinkles! Happy Friday! 🙂

With Kpop Star nearing my entry point, I finally succumbed to Aulia‘s urgings to check out one of the contestants, Jung Seung Hwan, whose ability to focus some incredible emotions behind his songs belie his young age of 19. According to the three judges–Park Jin Young, Yang Hyun Seok, and Yoo Hee Yeol–he’s got a voice and style that hasn’t been seen in this current generation of singers. Shall we take a look at this much-touted singer in his duet with Park Yoon Ha

More than anything else, I am amazed by these two’s ability to suck the listener into the anguish of their plight–reluctant but necessary separation despite their love for each other.

Hmm…so young and yet so powerful in their ability to convey such emotions. If these two are just a sampling of the young singers vying for a spot in K-music, I suspect that the K-music industry is only going to get stronger, not weaker. I am duly amazed, Jung Seung Hwan and Park Yoon Ha.

On this awed note, I wish you all a wonderful weekend, everyone! 🙂

  1. I am not sure what they are saying but it has me crying for some reason. Thats pretty dog gone good to be able to do that when you don’t have a clue what they are saying. Good one Grace. I like them better than that rapping stuff you see so much of in kpop. But then that is just me. Old school haha.
