This is (as indicated in the title) a surprise giveaway – not only for you guys, but for me, too, as I wasn’t aware I’d have something to give away until this morning, when the postman (postwoman? postperson?) dropped off an unexpected piece of mail.
It seems, in my excitement, I accidentally ordered two DVD boxsets of one of my favourite dramas of 2011/2012… What’s Up (and Arhazivory, if you’re reading this… stop laughing, please. I’ll wait. *is patient*).
Because it’s Christmas, and because giving things away sends a frisson of joy through my system (rather like an electric shock – only, you know, pleasant), I decided to give it away to one lucky Musings of a Twinkie subscriber. 🙂
This particular contest will run for a little less than a week, with the cut-off date being Thursday 13th December. All you need to do in order to enter the giveaway is:
1) Subscribe to the site, if you haven’t already.
2) Comment on this post. I’m going to follow ST on this and say only one comment per person per day, please.
Once again, the draw will be completely random, and the winner will be announced on Friday 14th December.
A bit of info on the prize: If you’ve not heard of What’s Up, it’s a campus drama following the lives of six freshmen and set in the musical theatre department of a college in Seoul (if you think it sounds similar to Fame… well, you’re not wrong). The drama stars Im Joo-hwan (Tamra the Island), Lim Joo-eun (Arang and the Magistrate, Wild Romance), Daesung (from the band Big Bang), Kim Ji-won (To the Beautiful You, High Kick 3), Jo Jeong-seok (King 2 Hearts, Architecture 101), and Oh Man-seok (Wild Romance, Warrior Baek Dong-soo).
The boxset is still sealed in its original packaging and has all 20 episodes on 4 discs. The language options are: Korean and Mandarin with subtitles in: Chinese; Malay; English. The English subs, from what I’ve seen on my own DVD set, are good and though the stated region is 3, it plays on my region 2 blu-ray player, so I’d presume it’s region-free.
If you’ve any questions, feel free to ask in the comments, or by email, and… good luck. 🙂
