I bet you’re surprised to hear from me before my self-imposed September comeback, huh? 😉
Although I’m still dealing with Real Life in all its various shades of joys and struggles, I just couldn’t resist sharing with you something that’s been giving me great joy these past couple of months.
There’s a new girl group in K-pop, and Unnies is making a name for itself! Not only is this newbie group comprised of seven extremely talented women in their respective professions, the members span an unprecedented age range from the teens to the forties! The variety show world–despite the sometimes lackluster ratings–has been rocked with mirth and warm fuzzies as these women bond together to forge the newest K-pop girl group, and now they are taking the K-pop industry by storm! At least I think so! And if the music charts can be believed, so does the rest of the K-pop world! 😉
So…since sharing is caring, I wanted to share with you something that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and a light skip or two to your hearts! And if you follow the Sister’s Slam Dunk Season 2 show, the “extras” in the music video are going to have you chuckling in appreciation! 🙂 Continue reading Friday Fun: Unnies (언니쓰) – “Right?” (맞지?)
Happy Friday, Twinkles~! Are you excited today? If not, I think you will be when you read that the newest JTBC series Strong Woman Do Bong Soon aired its first highly-awaited episode today and released the first song of its OST.
The Princess of Trot (aka Hong Jin Young) is back with another song, this one from the newly released movie, Fabricated City (2017), which stars Ji Chang Wook, Shim Eun Kyung, Ahn Jae Hong, and other notable stars.
I know that the song is a bit melancholy and odd–the clips from the movie don’t seem to quite fit the song–but it’s Hong Jin Young, and you know how I feel about her. 🙂
Happy Friday, Twinkles~! I hope you’re all staying warm and anticipating the weekend!
For today’s selection, I thought that I’d share with you a recent “find” of mine–Park Kyung. I first saw him as the “idol brainiac” on the tvN show, Problematic Men, and instantly became smitten with his persona.
Simply put, the show is a brain-teaser for anyone, but for those who find intelligent people attractive…well, it’s television at its best then! If nothing else, the show feeds the eyes and the brain. 🙂
From time to time, I experience this odd nostalgia for Jang Na Ra, and today is one of those times. 🙂
I can’t explain why or when this happens, but for no apparent reason, I suddenly develop this intense craving to watch her in something or listen to one of her songs. And lucky you! You get to partake in my craving today! 😉
Perhaps it’s because she’s one of those Kdrama stars who represents for me some of my favorite and earliest Kdrama memories; I loved her in My Love Patzzi (2002) and absolutely adored her in Successful Story of a Bright Girl (2002).
So to celebrate her longevity in the Kdrama industry, what better way to indulge in my Jang-Na-Ra nostalgia than with this sugary music video from one of her recent shows, One More Happy Ending (2016)? 😉
Happy Friday, my dear Twinkles~! I hope you’re all staying healthy and warm this last Friday of January 2017! 🙂
Today’s “Friday Fun” comes to us from Park Hyung Sik, one of the few idols I have seen who canact, and I mean really act! If I didn’t know better, I’d think he was strictly an actor and not an experience idol member of the group ZE:A. Needless to say, I’ve been quite smitten with him since I first saw him as the rascally Jo Myung Soo in Heirs and warm-hearted Cha Dal Bong in What Happens to My Family?
With the pouring rain here in Southern California AND the recent wedding announcement of Rain (aka Jung Ji Hoon) and Kim Tae Hee, I thought that this week’s “Friday Fun” selection just had to be Rain’s latest song, “The Best Present.”
Happy Friday, Twinkles~! We have less than ten days before Christmas. I hope you’re not getting caught up in the flurry of the gift-buying season and are instead able to relax a bit this weekend and actually enjoy yourselves. 🙂
Hi, Twinkles~! It’s been a while, huh? My apologies! I’ve certainly been remiss in my blogging, huh? 🙁
Well…I was going to wait until my final exams and grades were all posted to resume blogging, but I just couldn’t resist sharing with you my newest pixie crush. 😉 Yup, it’s Park Jin Joo who stole many of our hearts in Jealousy Incarnate as the deadpan nurse who masterfully handled our recalcitrant Lee Hwa Shin. 🙂 Once you see her, I think you may just end up developing a pixie crush yourselves. 🙂
We continue to observe Park Bo Gum Fever with this medley of songs that our dear little “Gummy” sang in the series Wonderful Mama (2013).
Yes, I acknowledge that many of my dear Twinkles have contracted this highly contagious Kdrama illness, and the only way to monitor and assuage their symptoms is to provide a vaccine of sorts in the form of more PBG clips. 😉
If the first part of 2016 belonged to Song Joong Ki with his blockbuster series Descendants of the Sun , I think it’s safe to say that his hoobae Park Bo Gum is staking the latter half of the year as his with Love in the Moonlight.
So…I’m obviously still on my W kick. 🙂 As I get ready to return to my college for another academic year this upcoming week–my first faculty meeting of the year is today (Friday)–I thought a slower song for this Friday would be appropriate as a slow deep breath before plunging into the hustle and bustle of the fall term. 🙂
And O.M.G! For this week’s “Friday Fun,” I bring you a treat that is guaranteed to make your jaws drop in stunned amusement and your eyes twinkle with mirth…at least if you have the same sense of humor as I do! 😉 Enjoy and let the weekend festivities begin~! As you know, I’ve succumbed to the lure of W and was actually going to mini-recap Episode 6 on Thursday, but alas, Real Life duties intruded into my Kdramaland fun and prevented me from frolicking with Kang Chul and Yeon Joo.
*deep sigh* >.<
However, I thought that I could at least share with you a fun little music video from the series, and just so that some of you don’t feel the sting of W leaving Uncontrollably Fond in the ratings dust, I’m also offering you all a bonus Friday Fun selection. After all, some of you may want to go and support the other series as well. 😉 In truth, I like watching Shin Joon Young and Noh Eul as much as I enjoy watching Kang Chul and Yeon Joo. 🙂
