Let me first preface this post by confessing that I just got home from a 3-hour evening lecture, so I’m feeling a bit drained. I make no promises of complete coherence in this post. 😉
Barring certain lapses in coherent English, though, I just couldn’t resist sharing with you a trailer that I saw earlier today. Truthfully, I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw it during my lunch break.
You ready to see why, despite my tiredness and resolution to only blog on Fridays and Sunday evenings, I caved and am now blogging on a Wednesday night when I should already be asleep or at least getting ready to sleep? 😛
Get prepared to scream, Twinkles~! Some of our favorite eye candies are heading to the big screen in a historical movie of epic proportions, one that is clearly determined to wring out every last vestige of tears in our bodies if the trailer is any indication!
You’ll have to excuse me this week as I deviate from my weekly “Eye Candy” post of Baek Jin Hee and Park Seo Joon, but I think you’ll grant me this leeway once I explain why. 🙂
In honor of our original Eye Candy’s upcoming birthday–Yes, So Ji Sub is turning a glorious 3-9 this November 4th!–I thought it only appropriate that he be given some screen time with our Ms. Eye Candy 2016. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to post a celebratory blog post on the 4th. 😉 However, if I don’t, then consider this my annual nod to our original Eye Candy. 🙂
On that note, I hope you’re all ready to tackle another week! 🙂 Here’s to a fabulous week then, Twinkles! *pumps fist*
It was a quiet giveaway, but a couple of SJS fans showed their love for our eye candy by entering and vying for a chance to possess a piece of him…at least on paper. 😉 Everyone ready to hear who won this giveaway? *cues drumroll*
Happy Wednesday, Twinkles! Woohoo~! I hope you’re all thriving this week and enjoying the cool, crisp fall weather. 🙂
Last week, my suspicions about a fellow Twinkle was confirmed: Jules has a freakish memory. Heh. Who knew that she could remember the picture with such accuracy. Anyone else guess the three components but chose to remain silent as is the usual nature of our Twinkles? LOL. In any case, she is this week’s true K-drama fan! 🙂 You can check out her comment here.
Now, since today is So Ji Sub‘s birthday, how could I not honor him with a WW challenge, right? 😉 It’s Wednesday, Twinkles! *blows noisemaker* And you know what this means. *wiggles eyebrows* The game’s afoot! Continue reading Wednesday What?!: November 4, 2015
*sings* Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear SJS! Happy birthday to you…And many more….! *finishes singing with a flourish of bells and kazoos* Continue reading So Ji Sub: Happy Birthday!
Are you all ready for the madness that’s about to descend upon us? *wiggles eyebrows*
If you’re ready to take the plunge with me–as if you haven’t already taken the plunge on your own lol–keep on reading and feast your eyes on the following fun clips that are designed to whet our appetites for the upcoming Oh My Venus broadcast. Oh yeah, you’d better believe that I’m starting a countdown… 🙂
Anyone excited for She Was Pretty today? *wiggles eyebrows and chuckles gleefully* The preview to Episode 12 was quite the provocative teaser, huh? 🙂
However, since this post isn’t about that series, I’d better move on and get right to the point. 😉 After a very silent “Wednesday What?!” challenge the other week, last week’s mystery was quickly solved by XXYYZZ. Congratulations! You’re this week’s true K-drama fan! 🙂 You can check out her comment here.
Now, in anticipation of So Ji Sub‘s return to the small return in a few weeks and since this month is our annual walk down memory lane, I thought the picture below would be apropos. 🙂 It’s Wednesday, Twinkles! *blows noisemaker* And you know what this means. *wiggles eyebrows* The game’s afoot! Continue reading Wednesday What?!: October 28, 2015
So…I was just about to shut down my trusty laptop–Einstein IV (yes, I name my computers)–for the night and head upstairs to bed when my fingers typed out my YouTube feed…completely of their own volition. I promise! My fingers have a mind of their own when it comes to my keyboard and blogging. 😉
Anyhow, imagine my shock when I saw this trailer/teaser of the upcoming So Ji Sub/Shin Min Ah/Sung Hoon drama…and I could have sworn that the above exercise move that SJS executed was a complete optical illusion or at least a stunt that was aided by invisible wires or something. Take a look here, and you’ll see what I mean! *brain still discombobulated by the move*
Our dear Eye Candy is back, everyone! Woohoo~! *blows noisemaker* Granted, he’s not back in a full-series format as many of us hope, but still…! 🙂
As I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, So Ji Sub made a brief appearance in the Hong Sisters‘s latest project, Warm and Cozy (starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Kang So Ra), that began its first broadcast today. *hums happily* For those of you who can watch Korean dramas without English subtitles, you can check out the first episode (here or here). In the meanwhile, if you’re wanting to check out just the clip with SJS, keep reading for the video and a brief update on what our dear Seo has been up to! 🙂 Continue reading SJS: May 2015 Update
November 4th is So Ji Sub‘s birthday, and in honor of this occasion, his company 51K has released a new song titled “So Love” as a token of its thanks to fans for all their support.
If you missed out on seeing So Ji Sub on his recent Asia Tour–many of us did–here’s a brief glimpse of all the fun that happened. It seems as though SJS’s good friend, Jung Joon Ha, MC’ed a portion of the show. 🙂 Enjoy! Continue reading SJS: Happy Birthday!
Wow~! SJS is back in full force! He just released another music video titled “Boy Go,” and I’ve got say, the man seems to be improving with each new song he brings to the public. And this time, I can say that it’s definitely worthy of being called ear candy…at least for those of us who like this type of music. 😀
You all know that I’m not much of a rap lover, but this music video is adorable and full of verve. 🙂 I contemplated saving this music video for a “Friday Fun” post, but I just couldn’t wait until Friday…So…enjoy! Let me know what you think! 😉 Continue reading SJS: “Boy Go” (Featuring Soul Dive)
I debated whether to blog about this song under the “SJS” corner or as part of the “Friday Fun” corner and decided on the former because, as much as I adore SJS in Road No. 1 and The Master’s Sun, I am not a particular fan of his music, and “Friday Fun” songs are reserved for songs that I absolutely adore. *shrugs* I lean more towards 30s, 40s, 50s, and 80s/90s style of music. What can I say? 😛
Anyhow, when I choose to support someone–whether in Real Life or in Kdramaland–it’s with the realization that this support encompasses both the “good” and the “bad,” so…I decided to blog about his newest contribution to the hip-hop music industry…even though I don’t love hip-hop or his song. In fact, after several listens to it in preparing this post, I’m left feeling a bit off-kilter. You’ll soon see why.
Warning: Although the music video is probably rated at PG-13, I would caution the more visually susceptible viewers from watching the video since the music video is quite stylized and aims to make a bold and “unique” statement. But then again, if you’re familiar with So Ji Sub, his dabbling in the “unique” is nothing new to you. 😉 I issue this warning in particular to the younger Twinkles in our community (13 years old and younger). Please feel free to pass on this post if you think the music video will be disturbing to you. I promise that I won’t be offended. 😉 Continue reading SJS: “18 Years” MV and Musings
