This week’s Friday Fun is dedicated to all you Twinkles who love to frolic in Kdramaland with Park Seo Joon! The music video seems to encapsulate the typical Kdrama fan’s dream, wouldn’t you say? 😉
Happy Sunday, Twinkles~! I trust that you’ve all been well and staying bright and cheery as our weather turns colder! 🙂
My apologies for the delay on oh-so-many blog posts, but I’ve been battling an unending war–yes! a war–with my health these past few weeks, and blogging has had to take a backseat to everything else that must be done before I can play in Kdramaland. *sigh* Yes, I’m referring to those dreaded Real Life duties that keep me preoccupied with deadlines and more deadlines. Phooey!
Hmmm…I suppose since I haven’t articulated my queue of blog posts, you really have no idea just how far behind I am, huh? LOL. I guess that’s a good thing. 😉
In any case, I hope our dear eye candies bring a smile to your face as you gear up for another work/study week! I’m going to try my best to catch up on my intended blog posts, but I can’t make any firm promises since…I’m a turtle at my very core.
*sigh* Seriously, I am such a little turtle sometimes. *inches ever so slowly through her list of deadlines*
May you all be faster turtles than I in your respective lives, my dear Twinkles~! Here’s to another glorious week! *hugs*
Happy Sunday, Twinkles~! I don’t know about you all, but this week is promising to be another grueling work and study week for me, so what better way to start the week than with two pictures of our eye candies! 🙂 These two should help us venture forth into another week with smiles on our faces! 😉
As for our fun journey through the world of 1% of Anything, NewKDramaAddict and I are diligently working on our recaps of last week’s episodes, so stay tuned for those! Hopefully, we’ll be able to have them published before this week’s episodes (5 and 6) hit the airwaves. 😉
In the meanwhile, I encourage you to take a look through old posts and relive some of our past adventures together. 🙂 At some point this week, I’ll begin our “official” annual “Walk down Memory Lane” corner in commemoration of our 6th year together here on Musings of a Twinkie. 🙂
On that note, here’s to another victorious week, Twinkles~! We. Will. Triumph! *flashes broad cheesy grin*
I must admit, I’ve been feeling a bit out of sorts these days, oscillating between bright and cheery (Park Seo Joon style) and a bit quirky and in a “mood” (Baek Jin Hee style) due to what feels like an unending battle with my allergies and now a cold.
*sigh* Oh yes, the nasty little cold that’s been going around has managed to attack me, leaving me with moments of normalcy punctuated sharply with cold-induced irritation. >.< Yup, gotta love my Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde moments. LOL.
In any case, I hope these two pictures of our adorable eye candies help you “fall” into another week. LOL. Sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun. 😉
Seriously, though, I wish you another glorious weekend! And the best news for this week: NewKDramaAddict and I are going to attempt to blog 1% of Anything once it airs this week, so stay tuned! 🙂
Happy Sunday, Twinkles~! I hope you’re enjoying the first week of the fall season. As you’ve probably guessed by now, I am relishing the beginning of my favorite season! 😉
Don’t you love the fact that our eye candies continue to work together even after their roles in I Summon You, Gold have ended? This picture was taken during their music video shoot for The One‘s “One, Two, Three, Four” back in 2014 after Baek Jin Hee filmed Empress Ki.

Happy Sunday, Twinkles~! I trust that you’re all doing well and staying healthy…despite the fact that we’re heading into flu and cold season. 🙂
For some reason, I’ve been on a “blast-to-the-past” kick this past week, watching clips from oldies but goodies like I Summon You, Gold and 1% of Something. Yes, I’m sure this walk down memory lane was prompted by the news of the upcoming remake (view post here). Seriously, I can’t wait to see the remake after my mini-marathon of the original this past week! 🙂
In any case, I hope these two eye candies of ours continue to bring smiles to your faces. 🙂 Have a glorious week, everyone!
Oh…! Anyone know the episode and scene of these two screenshots? *wiggles eyebrows* Seriously, I would be truly amazed if some of you can answer this question. 🙂
Happy Chuseok, Twinkles~! Can you believe it’s already time to celebrate the harvest festival in Korea? Oy~! Where did the time go? Pretty soon, it’s going to be November 4th again and time to celebrate SJS’s birthday. 😉
It honor of Chuseok this week, I thought that I would opt for the traditional hanbok. Don’t our eye candies look beautiful in their hanboks? 🙂
I actually entertained the idea of adding more eye candies–just for this week’s Chuseok celebration–since there are so many hanbok-wearing eye candies these days (i.e. Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Lee Jun Ki, Kang Ha Neul, etc.), but I managed to restrain myself. LOL After all, I have to give the spotlight to our 2016 Eye Candies. 😉
In any case, I wish you a wonderful “harvest” week, Twinkles! As for my efforts to be glam, I’ve failed miserably and reverted back to my “usual” attire. LOL Perhaps I’ll try again during the holidays. 😉
Happy Sunday, Twinkles~! I hope you’re enjoying the first full week of September and anticipating the fall foliage! 🙂 Personally, fall happens to be my favorite season of the year, and I’m quite excited about all that fall has to offer us! *dances the Happy Snoopy Dance* Continue reading Eye Candy of the Week: Glam…One More Time! 😉
As I mentioned in last week’s “Eye Candy” post, I’ve been making more of an effort to dress a bit more “stylishly,” and I can proudly share that I wore heels from Monday to Thursday of last week as I lectured. 🙂
Now with a new week before us, I find myself watching to be a bit more “classic” or “retro” glam, if that makes any sense. So…for this week, I’m going to try to take out my blouses, shirts, and blazers from the closet and let them see some beautiful California sunshine. In addition to the heels then, we’ll see how long I can keep up this “new” look. LOL.
With the new academic year before me, I find myself wanting to make a change, and so, my small personal goal for this Fall 2016 term is…wait for it…to dress a bit more stylishly for my college students. *gasp!* I know…those of you who know my secret wish to go to work every day in my old medical school scrubs are probably shocked by this goal of mine, but for some reason this year, I really don’t want to be that stodgy English professor whose wardrobe seems permanently fixed in the “classic” and “conservative” style. >.< Continue reading Eye Candy of the Week: Style It up!
Reactions, of course, are varied. Some eager beavers are excited to begin learning new things and hopping to school each morning while other students are lamenting what feels like a way-too-short summer vacation and dreading an endless immediate future of early mornings and “boring” lectures and “tedious” assignments.
Whatever the reaction may be, though, I thought that I would help you all usher in the new academic year with two pictures that seem a bit like “school” outfits. 🙂
Wishing you all another “W”onderful week as many of you return to school! 🙂 Yes, I am most definitely excited for this week–episodes 8 and 9 are set to air this Wednesday and Thursday…I hope! Personally, I’d love for MBC to redeem themselves with a 3-episode week, but alas, I am realistic and will settle for the usual two episodes/week. Here’s just hoping that the show doesn’t get preempted again by the Olympics. 😉
Let’s continue to fight the good fight, Twinkles! 😉
Happy Sunday, Twinkles~! I’m late in posting my Sunday’s Eye Candies, but this weekend was my church’s VBS (Vacation Bible School) for the children’s department, and yours truly was in charge of the 3-day festivities.
Heh. Needless to say, I’d forgotten how physically exhausting things can get when one is around a group of children. 😉
So for this week, I thought that I’d offer you something along the lines of the simple. After a whirlwind flurry of activities, I’m treasuring the simple. 🙂
Wishing you all a “simple” week as you continue to make your mark in your respective spheres! 🙂 Let’s continue to fight the good fight, Twinkles! 😉
Happy Sunday, Twinkles~! It’s the last Sunday of July, and I thought that for this week, I’d go with something a bit more “classic”…but with a twist. 🙂 After all, we need to put our own signature on things, do we not? 😉
I hope you enjoy the two pics as you begin to gear up for another work/study week! Wishing you all another blessed week as you continue to make your mark in your respective spheres! 🙂
There’s this odd little saying in Korean that basically suggests we combat heat with heat and cold with cold. Weird, I know. However, I thought it was appropriate for this week’s hot temperatures. When one is dealing with heat, think of cooler temperatures and being bundled up nice and snuggly. Heh…mind over matter, right? Perhaps if we keep convincing ourselves that we’re actually cold and feeling warm and toasty in our fashion attire, then we’ll actually start feeling cooler.
I boldly insist that this is possible: Mind over matter, Twinkles! 😉
In any case, I wish you another blessed week as you deal with all your Real Life duties! Stay “cool”! 🙂
I am a bit late in my post today, but I hope you guys don’t mind. Thankfully, I’m still well within my self-imposed Sunday deadline, so all is good! 🙂
May the pearly-white smiles on our Mr. and Ms. Eye Candy of 2016 cheer you up as you prepare for another productive week ahead.
As for me, I’ll be heading up to a youth retreat tomorrow as one of two speakers, so please say a prayer for me as well as for the other teachers and students attending the regional youth retreat. 🙂
I wish you all another victorious week then! And remember to SMILE and SPARKLE! 😉
I was again reminded on Saturday as I prepared this post that Real Life is one mean bully sometimes. So for those of us who are fighting valiantly to keep our heads above water, to show the world our best, and to do good whenever we can, I think these two pictures are good reminders for us to take a moment to relax…and if that means a refreshing cup of iced coffee, even better! 😉
As we step into this new work/study week, I wish you all another victorious week! We can do it! If not us, then who, right? 😉
We knew that Baek Jin Hee could hold her own in a sageuk drama, but her eye candy counterpart, Park Seo Joon, will soon be flexing his versatile dramatic skills in an upcoming sageuk drama of his own. Until then, I thought that this week’s eye candy post would be a treat for our eyes as we contemplate just how good history can look. *wiggles eyebrows*
Wishing you all a monumentally wonderful week, my dear Twinkles~! And may I just add that you’re going to like what you see here on Musings this week! 😉
Over the years, I’ve experienced its power and am inclined to agree with them–a smile, particularly a mega-watt smile, can do some amazing things. Shall I name a few general examples?
It can help someone have a brighter outlook on life.
It can give someone an air of confidence that he or she may not otherwise feel inside.
It can make anyone look beautiful.
But most importantly, it can be contagious, prompting smiles in reciprocation from others.
On this start of another glorious week, I wish you lots of mega-watt smiles as you begin another victorious week, my dear Twinkles~! Fighting! *flashes a huge mega-watt smile*
Have a productive work/study week, everyone! I’m sure many of you have a full schedule ahead of you, especially you students as final exams and term projects/research papers draw near. Good luck! And for an additional boost of energy, I thought that you might enjoy seeing the familiar and friendly face of my furry little canine buddy again. 🙂
Yes, I am totally guilty of alliteration, but hey, what can I say? I like playing with words. 😉 On this note, I wish you all a fabulous week, Twinkles~!
You’ll find out why I was late today on May 5th, but that’s material for another post. 😉
In the meanwhile, let me wish you all another fabulous week! And this week’s “theme”? Strike a pose! Life’s too short, and we only live once. I think we should remember to strike a dramatic pose this week…of course, I’m talking about a metaphorical pose, but hey, if you want to strike a literal pose, by all means…! 😉
