I told you that I really wanted to like this series, didn’t I? So to be fair to Cinderella and Four Knights, I made the time today to watch Episode 2…and finally realized what it was that was bothering me about the show, aside from the numerous cliches…. Continue reading First Impressions: Cinderella and Four Knights (2016) – Revisited
As a way to console myself from W‘s Episode 8 preemption–mean, MBC, just plain mean!–I took a peek this morning at tvN‘s latest series, Cinderella and Four Knights, starring Park So Dam (as Eun Ha Won), Ahn Jae Hyun (as Kang Hyun Min), Jung Il Woo (as Kang Ji Woon), and Lee Jung Shin (Kang Seo Woo). My thoughts…?
You ready for a sugary dose of cuteness overload and a whole lot of squee-worthy moments?!
The much anticipated first of two (Why only two?!!!) episodes went live earlier this week, and I took a guilty-pleasure grading break to keep myself sane in the frenzy of the end of term madness. 🙂 Continue reading First Impressions: Splish Splash Love (2015) – Episode 1
Hi, Twinkles! I bet you’re surprised to see me since my blog posts have been uploading on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, huh?
I had a bit of time this evening and felt inspired to share with you one of my latest loves: Cool Kiz on the Block – Swimming! If you haven’t seen it yet, you’ve got to watch at least one episode. 🙂 Continue reading Cool Kiz on the Block: Swimming
tvN‘s 2013 sleepy hit Let’s Eat returns for a second helping of fun, hijinks, romance, and most importantly, mouth-watering Korean cuisine. Although the cast has changed–quite dramatically, in fact, with only Yoon Doo Joon reprising his role as the lovable Goo Dae Young–the series is surprisingly heartwarming and just as charming as the first season. It’s a bit too early to say anything yet–after all, I’ve only seen two episodes–but if the first two installments of this series is any indication of the rest of the series, I think that I may like the sequel even more than I did the original. *gasp* I know~! The sequel is rarely better than the first…but here’s why: Continue reading First Impressions: Let’s Eat Season 2
Cable channel tvN has churned out some notable drama series in the past few years–Answer Me 1997 and Answer Me 1994 to name just a few–and this newest addition to their Friday-Saturday lineup hints at joining that growing list as one strong rom-com contender for this summer.
You can watch the raw video of the episode here. Continue reading First Impressions: Marriage, Not Dating (2014)
TvN’s new Monday-Tuesday series, High School King of Savvy, started last week, and because I adore Seo In Guk (The Master’s Sun) and Lee Ha Na (Merry Mary with Ji Hyun Woo), I took a look at the first two episodes. I’ll be honest; I had high hopes for this series because of the two principal actors, supported by an impressive supporting cast of actors like Lee Soo Hyuk and Philip Choi.
As much as I wanted to like this series, though, based on the first two episodes, I wasn’t impressed. I’ll give it another week (this week) before I make my final decision. In the meanwhile, here’s the basic premise of the story and my impressions…if you’re interested. 😉 Continue reading High School King of Savvy: First Impressions
