I can’t believe the month of October is over after today and with it, the opportunity for more walks down memory lane for 2016. 🙁
Ah well, all good things must come to an end at some time, I suppose, and there’s always next year as bittersweet as this may seem right now. On the bright side, it’ll just make us anticipate the “Walk down Memory Lane” for 2017 all the more! 😉
For our fourth and final memory for 2016’s “Walk down Memory Lane” then, I thought it only fitting that we conclude this year’s stroll through our memories with the blockbuster of 2013. 🙂 Thanks for being a part of so many wonderful memories…! Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The Master’s Sun (2013)
In staying with this year’s “Walk down Memory Lane” stroll through the year 2013, it seems fitting that our third memory come from Heirs and the memories associated with that show that had so much potential but failed to deliver on so many levels by its conclusion.
Incidentally, this was the first time that I blogged for DramaFever, which was a fun experience in and of itself but one I was never able to repeat due to scheduling constraints. Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Heirs (2013)
Our second memory for this year’s “Walk down Memory Lane” comes to us from our Gu Family Book series back in 2013.
As much as we adored Lee Seung Gi and Bae Suzy, it was really Choi Jin Hyuk who stole the show–for at least the first two episodes–as he exploded onto our collective radars. I think it’s pretty safe to say that this series helped shower him with some serious stardust.
OK, I concede that the series sprinkled a good amount of stardust on some other rising stars like Sung Joon and Yoo Yeon Seok. We really shouldn’t forget about them either. 😉
It was also the first series that I tried the video recap format. You remember how this was my “real” foray into YouTube, recapping the episode on video and uploading just pictures on the blog posts? Hmmm…I have mixed feelings about those old videos. LOL. Seriously, I took a quick look at the one associated with this post and had myself a good chuckle. Heh. Ah well, it’s all part of our past romps together….
Anyhow, without further ado, let’s take a look at the post for Episode 1! Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Gu Family Book (2013)
To new and seasoned Twinkles alike, I bring to you our annual walk down “Memory Lane,” a nostalgic stroll down previous blog posts that is designed to help us relive our memories from those times or to introduce you to past posts if you missed them because you are new to Musings. And again, my apologies for the lateness of our walk this year. At least we still have seven days left of October for our strolling, right? 🙂 Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Musing for Today
It’s certainly been a memorable walk down memory lane this year. I hope you feel the same way!
Although I republished all of the recaps that I wrote for the series, I just couldn’t let this year’s celebration go without an encore look back on the series, so…I give you 50+ pictures–some I’ve already shown and some I haven’t–to ease our “Walk down Memory Lane” for 2015 to a gentle close. Enjoy! 🙂 Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The King 2 Hearts – Encore Presentation
Tea Time~! Come join me for tea this afternoon. 🙂
In this third episode, I cover Twenty Again (2015), Oh My Venus (2015-2016), chit chat about random things, and open a package from XXYYZZ.
Also featured in this episode are Mini-Grace (by Tabitha), Panda Eyes (one of our mascots) and Snoopy mug from the Charlie Brown Cafe (gift from little brother in Korea).

For those of you who still have nightmares about this heart-wrenching episode, you may want to skip today’s final “Walk down Memory Lane” recap. It’s the dreaded Episode 19…Brace yourselves for the anguish that is to come!

Happy Wednesday, Twinkles! Woohoo~!
Anyone excited for She Was Pretty today? *wiggles eyebrows and chuckles gleefully* The preview to Episode 12 was quite the provocative teaser, huh? 🙂
However, since this post isn’t about that series, I’d better move on and get right to the point. 😉 After a very silent “Wednesday What?!” challenge the other week, last week’s mystery was quickly solved by XXYYZZ. Congratulations! You’re this week’s true K-drama fan! 🙂 You can check out her comment here.
Now, in anticipation of So Ji Sub‘s return to the small return in a few weeks and since this month is our annual walk down memory lane, I thought the picture below would be apropos. 🙂 It’s Wednesday, Twinkles! *blows noisemaker* And you know what this means. *wiggles eyebrows* The game’s afoot! Continue reading Wednesday What?!: October 28, 2015

Team Korea proves in this episode that team work and an unwavering faith in each other can cover a multitude of disadvantages. This was definitely one of my favorite episodes…hmmm…Actually, I can’t really pinpoint a favorite episode to save my life since I loved almost all of them. However, if pressed to explain why this particular episode was a favorite, I’d probably have to say because it not only gives us a celebration of Team Korea’s WOC win but also Jae Ha and Hang Ah’s win. 🙂
Shall we plunge into the recap…? You can take a look at the original post and comments here. Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The King 2 Hearts – Episode 15
Can you believe that it’s already the last week of our 2015 “Walk down Memory Lane”? As such, you’ll be seeing a post of The King 2 Hearts every day this week. Hopefully, this is good news for you all. 😉
Now, please keep in mind that I got swamped with Real Life between episodes 8-13 back in 2012, so we’ll be picking up from Episode 14. *hangs head* I know…some of you were looking forward to reliving some of the awesome moments from those episodes…like Jae Ha’s abduction and subsequent proposal to Hang Ah. 🙁
You can see the original post and comments here. Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The King 2 Hearts – Episode 14
I hope you’re all ready to relive the horror and tragedy of Jae Ha’s ascension to the throne. Do you remember how long it took me to gather up the courage to watch–much less recap–the episode? *sigh* Here we go!
You can take a look at the two posts leading up to this Ep. 7 recap here (broadcast update) and here (Ep. 7 spoiler). The original post of the actual recap and its comments can be found here. Enjoy this flashback to 2012~! Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The King 2 Hearts – Episode 7

Some of you know that right around this time of year, I take a bit of time to help some of the students in my personal life revise their personal statements as they apply to colleges/graduate schools. In the midst of preparing another “Walk down Memory Lane” post for The King 2 Hearts, though, it dawned on me that some of the new Twinkles here in the Musings community may find the following post–a “Musing for Today” post–helpful, especially if you missed it when it first published back in November 12, 2013.
If nothing else, it’ll be a nice reminder of just how perspectives may change based on who is doing the beholding. 🙂 I hope some of you find this journey back in time to one of my past “Musings for Today” helpful as you reflect on how to present yourself to the admissions committee! 🙂 Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Musing for Today – In the Eye of the Beholder
I think the relationship between Jae Kang and Jae Ha has got to be one of the most memorable things that I’ve seen in all of Kdramaland. Anyone else agree with me? 🙂
Today is our fifth installment of our birthday celebration’s “Walk down Memory Lane.” You can check out the original post and the comments here, published back in April 4, 2012. The recap below is republished verbatim from its original publication…enjoy! Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The King 2 Hearts – Episode 5
You all ready for another trip down our Memory Lane? Today’s post features Episode 4 of The King 2 Hearts. You can check out the comments from the original post (here). Can you believe that there were 53 comments on that one post alone? Usually, Twinkles tend to be “silent lurkers,” but K2H certainly encouraged vocalization of our thoughts. 🙂 Anyhow enjoy~! The following is from the original post, dated back in March 30, 2012. 🙂 Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The King 2 Hearts – Episode 4
Happy Monday, Twinkles! I hope you’re getting a solid start to the work/study week today! 🙂
