Happy Friday, my dear Twinkles~! I hope you’re all staying healthy and warm this last Friday of January 2017! 🙂
Today’s “Friday Fun” comes to us from Park Hyung Sik, one of the few idols I have seen who can act, and I mean really act! If I didn’t know better, I’d think he was strictly an actor and not an experience idol member of the group ZE:A. Needless to say, I’ve been quite smitten with him since I first saw him as the rascally Jo Myung Soo in Heirs and warm-hearted Cha Dal Bong in What Happens to My Family?
I think you’ll agree with me when I say that he’s not only a prime example of Kdrama Eye Candy but also a soothing dose of Kpop Ear Candy! Who better than Park Hyung Sik then to help us usher in another weekend? 😉 Continue reading Friday Fun: Park Hyung Sik (박형식)- “I’ll be Here” (여기 있을게) from Hwarang (화랑) OST
In staying with this year’s “Walk down Memory Lane” stroll through the year 2013, it seems fitting that our third memory come from Heirs and the memories associated with that show that had so much potential but failed to deliver on so many levels by its conclusion.
Incidentally, this was the first time that I blogged for DramaFever, which was a fun experience in and of itself but one I was never able to repeat due to scheduling constraints. Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Heirs (2013)
Is it already the end of the year? I feel as if it was only yesterday that I posted my review for 2012, and now it’s already time to wrap up 2013 and welcome 2014! Time really does fly when you have fun!
I will only cover the shows that were not mentioned in the Mid-Year Report. If you want to go back to a drama that aired in the first half of the year, you can refer to that post.

Kyahhhh~! I knew I loved the two mothers. 🙂 More than the love stories in this series, I find myself immensely enjoying the various friendships, and the odd friendship between Tan’s mother and Eun Sang’s mother is one that brings a smile to my face, especially when Tan’s mom is up to her silliness. 🙂
As usual, the clip to the preview and its English translation are below.
You can catch the series here or here. Continue reading Heirs: Episode 19 Preview and English Translation
It’s official. Just as the waterworks–aka angst–starts with a vengeance on Heirs, my schedule gets the better of me, and I’ve had to stop watching. Hmmm…Is this just a convenient coincidence? 😉
Seriously, though, I am keeping tabs on the story via my youngest sister who’s apparently enthralled with the story. Heh. Personally, I think it’s the number of pretty eye-candy on the show that’s caught her interest, but hey, at least she’s back in Kdramaland.
As usual, the preview to the episode is below with the English translation. Enjoy! 😉

In honor of today being Thanksgiving Day in the United States, I thought that I would release this week’s “Scene of the Week” a day early as a special treat. 😉
I think it’s a given by now that when Kim Woo Bin plays a bad-boy high school student, he’s going to portray that character with flair…and then some.
This week’s selection comes to you from Episode 15 (or 16 since I can’t tell from here in Korea) of Heirs as Young Do helps jailbreak Tan out of the Kim Mansion. All I can say is that Young Do does mischievous with a capital “M” splashed with a dash of cute. 😉
You can check out the actual scene below: Continue reading Scene of the Week: November 28th
Of course, I haven’t seen Heirs in what feels like decades, but it’s not for lack of trying. Apparently, my usual drama sources–Dramafever and viki–are strictly prohibited in this country, and my current schedule is not being kind to my Kdrama-loving soul. *sigh* Ah well…C’est la vie, I suppose. -.-
What I find intriguing about the series since I last saw it is that Tan and Young Do seem to now have joined forces. What?! I’m gone for about two weeks, and this is what happens?! Geez…
As usual, the translation of the preview’s dialogue is below. I can’t wait to actually see the episodes I’ve missed since it looks as those Tan is giving big brother a much-needed lesson on how to protect a loved one.
You can catch the series here or here. Continue reading Heirs: Episode 16 Preview and English Translation
As many of you know, I haven’t been able to keep up with Heirs due to my current schedule. However, this doesn’t mean that I can’t continue to translate the previews for you all. 😉
Since I’m currently without my trusty little Einstein (name of my computer), I’m using the video clip of the preview as the “cover” picture. You can find the translation of the preview below. Enjoy! 😉
You can catch the series here or here. Continue reading Heirs: Episode 15 Preview and English Translation
Even in the midst of crazily preparing for my upcoming trip–I leave in just under 22 hours–I apparently couldn’t resist blogging one last post about Heirs. *shakes head*
Because the site looked so lonely on Wednesday without a new post, I’m at my desk typing up the translation to Episode 14’s preview as a break from all the work that I’ve been doing. Never mind that I haven’t even seen Episode 13. Heh.
Yeah, you can call me crazy. 😉 As usual, you’ll find the clip and the English translation of the preview down below. Enjoy, Twinkles!
You can catch the series here or here.

It looks as though the fall-out has started. Below is our usual preview clip and English translation for those of you who are interested in a sneak peek at Episode 13. For those of you who aren’t, we’ll see you after you watch the episode. 🙂

When Tan told Young Do that he didn’t have time to mess with him because he had to prepare for a greater fight–perhaps the biggest fight of his life–he wasn’t kidding! The size of the fight…It’s not even a fight. Nor a single battle.
He’s just declared war! And on a person that even his stoic brother, Won, hasn’t dared to even disobey once much less humiliate in public the way Tan just did.
With episode 12, we finally have lift-off after what seemed like an interminable 11 episodes of preparation. And the emotional payoff? It’s there in spades…and then some. Young Do’s not the only one who can flex that emotional range. I think Tan’s now just endured himself to me as a character.

Things are definitely heating up in Heirs as Young Do learns more than anyone expected and Tan is inextricably drawn into his father’s and brother’s business dealings.
For those of you dying to find out some spoilers from Episode 12, I’ve translated a cute-and significant–clip of Young Do with Eun Sang, her mother, and Tan below as well as a quick summary/recap of sorts of the major events.
I’ve just become a Young Do fan. 🙂 Despite his cruel streak, he’s definitely not only “smart” but adorable, too! But then again, a number of you already knew that. 😉 He’s certainly the most dynamic character of the entire story thus far! Enjoy!

I came across this clip tonight as I was winding down for the evening. It was simply too adorable to pass up, so I’m sharing this with you for your viewing pleasure. Joo Joong Won and Kim Tan in one video! How cute are they?!
Below, you’ll find the clip as well as the basic summary of the video. Enjoy! I’m off to bed…Have a great week! Continue reading Fun Stuff: The Master’s Sun vs. Heirs
I think a growing number of us are starting to agree that more than any other character in this series, Young Do is the most dynamic and strangely the most compelling. Yes, in spite of his viciousness…or perhaps it’s because of that viciousness juxtaposed with his “softer” side that we are attracted to him. Hmm….
This preview to Episode 11 alludes to greater interactions–or more specifically, altercations–between our two alpha males as they each try to woo Cha Eun Sang in their own way. *sad sigh* Poor, Young Do. He has such “good” intentions but just can’t seem to make progress with Eun Sang. Nope! Not. One. Darn. Little. Inch. *shakes head* The boy needs a crash course in the rules of dating. His reputation obviously precedes him and twists anything sweet that he utters or does for Eun Sang seem cruel or threatening, and oftentimes, they are. *shakes head again* Poor thing…
As usual, the preview clip and English translation are below. Enjoy! 😉

It looks as though Young Do is finding out way too many things about Eun Sang. It’s only a matter of time before he discovers that Eun Sang is not only visiting Tan at the Kim Mansion but that she lives there as well. Once he learns that bit of information, who knows what his reaction will be?
Episode 9 raises the stakes in this otherwise slow-paced series as both Young Do and Tan take more alpha-male steps in their pursuit of Eun Sang. Unfortunately for them both, Eun Sang keeps them at arm’s distance…or at least tries to.
As usual, the video and English translation of Episode 10’s preview are below for your viewing and reading pleasure. Enjoy!

Despite some of the lukewarm reviews, especially in light of its competitors, Heirs continues to keep me tuning in episode after episode. Granted, the characters haven’t endeared themselves to me completely–yet–but I think they’re getting there.
Slowly but surely.
I’m still torn between the sweet, vulnerable Young Do and the violent, sadistic hotel heir and bully, but for now, I’m simply going along for the ride. Ironically, I find myself hoping that Rachel gets together with Young Do rather than rooting for Tan and Eun Sang. Weird, huh? It says something about the characterizations when a viewer’s attention strays from the main couple and love triangle, but I find myself more intrigued by Rachel and Young Do’s interactions than anything else. Hmm….
Anyhow, SBS uploaded its preview to Episode 9 today, so you’ll find the usual clip and translation below. Enjoy!

What would an episode be without these two rivals going head-to-head…and in front of Eun Sang, no less? Despite Young Do’s scariness, there’s a certain vulnerability he shows from time to time that prevents him from becoming a totally reprehensible character in my eyes.
You can find the clip and a summary of the conversation below. Enjoy!

Tan certainly doesn’t waste any time after disclosing his feelings to Eun Sang. The next day, he seeks out Rachel and fills her in on the new developments.
The clip and summary are below for your perusal. 🙂

Episode 8 resumes from the last scene of Episode 7 as Tan confesses his feelings for Eun Sang. I don’t know if it’s just Tan being young, foolish, and in love…but the boy just opened up the proverbial Pandora’s Box and then some. It’ll be interesting to see how his actions will affect Eun Sang in the coming episodes.
As usual, you can find the clip and the English translation below if you’re interested. Enjoy! 🙂

Ack! Be still my little heart! The moment that many of you have been waiting for has apparently arrived! *squee* This is the third and final video clip that SBS has released this morning, and since it’s such a great scene, I’m going to translate it in its entirety. *shakes head* I know…You’re probably thinking, “But ST, don’t you have things to do, places to go, people to see?”
What can I say? This scene just demands to be translated. 😉 Enjoy!
