Happy Sunday, Twinkles! I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful Sunday or at least what is left of it since I’m posting this later than usual! 😀 For those of you in the U.S.–or any other part of the world that shifted into daylight savings time today–I hope you enjoyed an extra hour of sleep as we “fell” back an hour in anticipation of the shorter daylight time. 🙂
With only two months left of 2015–seriously?!?–I’m changing up the contents of the bulletin board. Hopefully, you won’t mind the changes. 😉
Shall we get started on the announcements? 😉
1. As we draw 2015 to a close–in about 2 months–I’m planning a tiny surprise for you Twinkles, but you have to let me know that you exist. 🙂 So…for those of you who left a comment in the 2015 “Who Are the Twinkles” post (here), please email me your mailing address. For those of you who didn’t get a chance to comment on that post but would still like to take part in my end of 2015 festivities, please mail me a postcard or letter to the address at the bottom of this post letting me know of how you stumbled upon our little community, how long you’ve been a part of our community, and/or any other relevant piece of information you’d like to impart to me. Yes, this applies to all of you silent lurkers out there. 😉 This community is filled with silent Twinkles. LOL. How do I know? For one thing, some of my little church minions read but hardly ever leave comments. Then there are the fanboys who read and do likewise. Heh.
2. Speaking of my church minions, you’ve heard me speak of them from time to time, and they were the reason why today’s bulletin board post is a bit late, not that I’m complaining. 🙂 I think that when you see the pictures below, you’ll agree that quality time with my minions was a good enough reason for delaying my blogging commitments. 😉
In commemoration of Halloween, my hearty little group celebrated the holiday with what we call Hallelujah Night, an evening of fun and meaningful time together. Of course, this event required that I sleep over at our church, so I’m a bit more panda-eyed than usual. It’s true that teenagers really do like to stay up late when they’re given the opportunity to hang out together. Heh. Who would have thunk it, huh? 😉
So what are some of the things that we did besides sing some praise songs, read the Bible, listen to a message, and share what’s been going on in each other’s lives? You know, besides the usual “church” stuff?
We treated ourselves to some delicious shaved ices. *relishes the memory of the taste* On the left is the strawberry shaved ice, topped with mochi and lychee jelly. On the right is the milk shaved ice, topped with the same toppings of mochi and lychee. 🙂
Then since the youth had been clamoring for a “legit” game of Monopoly that would run its full course, we played until player after player became bankrupt…until there was only one player left, the Monopoly Champion. Heh.
So…yours truly, after working so hard to buy property after property and houses/hotels after houses/hotels on those said properties, succumbed to bankruptcy because a minion had the gall to build hotels on both Boardwalk and Park Place. Hmph! I never land on those properties, but in the third hour of play, I landed on Park Place–with a hotel on it!–and had to relinquish all of my money and assets and declare bankruptcy. *sigh* And I had two monopolies (see the above purple and green properties) along with a smattering of assorted other properties throughout the board…*sigh*
And what gathering would be complete without a Korean face mask event? 😉 Isn’t this little minion absolutely adorable in her “puppy” face mask? 🙂
3. This week, I’ll be uploading a number of Kdrama-related posts for your reading pleasure. 🙂 A few for you to anticipate: Awl (2015), Answer Me 1988 (aka Reply 1988), She Was Pretty, etc.
Please let me know in the comments section if you’re watching any of the above shows or others that I haven’t mentioned, but you think I should? Of course, this Friday heralds the first broadcast of the 1988 gang, so I hope you’re all atwitter with excitement and anticipation! 😉
That’s all for today. Below are our weekly doses of our eye candies. 🙂
Kim Seul Gi is quite the beauty here. 🙂
And in honor of the upcoming Veteran’s Day here in the States, I thought that Lee jin Wook in military uniform would be a nice way to salute our veterans as well as the veterans in your various countries. They do so much for our respective countries, wouldn’t you agree?
On this note of patriotic appreciation, I wish you all another glorious week, Twinkles~! *Fighting!*
