From time to time, real life takes up so much time that my playtime in Kdramaland gets affected. Boo~! Today is such a time. Double boo~!
For the next few months, probably until the end of summer, I’ll be going on a hiatus–a temporary one–so I hope you’ll stick around and patiently wait for my return. 🙂
In the meanwhile, NewKDramaAddict will still be posting her “Movie Monday” posts over at her website (here) as real life allows her. 🙂
Until September then, my dear Twinkles…~!
This week’s Friday Fun is dedicated to all you Twinkles who love to frolic in Kdramaland with Park Seo Joon! The music video seems to encapsulate the typical Kdrama fan’s dream, wouldn’t you say? 😉
Enjoy! Continue reading Friday Fun: Kim Ji Soo (김지수) – “Dream All Day”
Let me first preface this post by confessing that I just got home from a 3-hour evening lecture, so I’m feeling a bit drained. I make no promises of complete coherence in this post. 😉
Barring certain lapses in coherent English, though, I just couldn’t resist sharing with you a trailer that I saw earlier today. Truthfully, I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw it during my lunch break.
You ready to see why, despite my tiredness and resolution to only blog on Fridays and Sunday evenings, I caved and am now blogging on a Wednesday night when I should already be asleep or at least getting ready to sleep? 😛
Get prepared to scream, Twinkles~! Some of our favorite eye candies are heading to the big screen in a historical movie of epic proportions, one that is clearly determined to wring out every last vestige of tears in our bodies if the trailer is any indication!
Doubt me? Take a look at this trailer and see for yourself… Continue reading News: The Battleship Island (2017)
Happy Friday, Twinkles~! Are you excited today? If not, I think you will be when you read that the newest JTBC series Strong Woman Do Bong Soon aired its first highly-awaited episode today and released the first song of its OST.
Are you excited now? 😉
Without further ado, let’s take a listen and more importantly, a closer look at the series that may just put the cable station JTBC on a whole new footing with us Kdrama fans. If nothing else, it’s promising to provide us with a super adorable couple who will probably make our hearts pitter-patter with glee each Friday and Saturday for the next few months. 🙂 Yup, I’m talking about Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik! 🙂 Continue reading Friday Fun: Jeong Eun Ji (정은지) – “You’re My Garden” (그대란 정원) from Strong Woman Do Bong Soon OST (힘쎈여자 도봉순 OST)
Happy Friday, Twinkles~!
The Princess of Trot (aka Hong Jin Young) is back with another song, this one from the newly released movie, Fabricated City (2017), which stars Ji Chang Wook, Shim Eun Kyung, Ahn Jae Hong, and other notable stars.
I know that the song is a bit melancholy and odd–the clips from the movie don’t seem to quite fit the song–but it’s Hong Jin Young, and you know how I feel about her. 🙂
So let’s get this weekend started with another HJY song! *blows noisemaker* Continue reading Friday Fun: Hong Jin Young – “Loves Me, Loves Me Not” (Fabricated City OST)
Happy Friday, Twinkles~! I hope you’re all staying warm and anticipating the weekend!
For today’s selection, I thought that I’d share with you a recent “find” of mine–Park Kyung. I first saw him as the “idol brainiac” on the tvN show, Problematic Men, and instantly became smitten with his persona.
Simply put, the show is a brain-teaser for anyone, but for those who find intelligent people attractive…well, it’s television at its best then! If nothing else, the show feeds the eyes and the brain. 🙂
Who knew that I’d come to love Park Kyung’s trademark expression of “Bam!” and his corresponding arm gesture? LOL. Shall we take a look at the FF…? Continue reading Friday Fun: Block B – “Yesterday”
From time to time, I experience this odd nostalgia for Jang Na Ra, and today is one of those times. 🙂
I can’t explain why or when this happens, but for no apparent reason, I suddenly develop this intense craving to watch her in something or listen to one of her songs. And lucky you! You get to partake in my craving today! 😉
Perhaps it’s because she’s one of those Kdrama stars who represents for me some of my favorite and earliest Kdrama memories; I loved her in My Love Patzzi (2002) and absolutely adored her in Successful Story of a Bright Girl (2002).
So to celebrate her longevity in the Kdrama industry, what better way to indulge in my Jang-Na-Ra nostalgia than with this sugary music video from one of her recent shows, One More Happy Ending (2016)? 😉
In the immortal words of Sung Deok Soon (Reply 1988), “Let’s music!!!!” *chuckles* Where’s my Jung Hwan and his stunned look to complete this reference? 😛 Continue reading Friday Fun: Angels (앤젤스) – “Always for You” (얼웨이스 포 유)
Happy Friday, my dear Twinkles~! I hope you’re all staying healthy and warm this last Friday of January 2017! 🙂
Today’s “Friday Fun” comes to us from Park Hyung Sik, one of the few idols I have seen who can act, and I mean really act! If I didn’t know better, I’d think he was strictly an actor and not an experience idol member of the group ZE:A. Needless to say, I’ve been quite smitten with him since I first saw him as the rascally Jo Myung Soo in Heirs and warm-hearted Cha Dal Bong in What Happens to My Family?
I think you’ll agree with me when I say that he’s not only a prime example of Kdrama Eye Candy but also a soothing dose of Kpop Ear Candy! Who better than Park Hyung Sik then to help us usher in another weekend? 😉 Continue reading Friday Fun: Park Hyung Sik (박형식)- “I’ll be Here” (여기 있을게) from Hwarang (화랑) OST
Happy Friday, Twinkles~!
With the pouring rain here in Southern California AND the recent wedding announcement of Rain (aka Jung Ji Hoon) and Kim Tae Hee, I thought that this week’s “Friday Fun” selection just had to be Rain’s latest song, “The Best Present.”
Only fitting given the circumstances, wouldn’t you say? 😉 Continue reading Friday Fun: Rain – “The Best Present” (최고의선물)
This scene just doesn’t get old! *indulges in another squee moment*
For those of you who have already watched today’s episode, my selection of this particular scene as the “Squee Moment” should come as no surprise. It features the long-awaited/long-dreaded sword-pulling scene, and our master writer Kim Eun Sook beautifully untangles many of her well-crafted knots in this 3-minute clip…! Continue reading Goblin: Episode 13 Squee Moment
Happy Friday, Twinkles~! It’s certainly been awhile since I’ve blogged…or at least that’s what it feels like to me. 😛 And although I’m a bit late, I wish you all a very happy New Year! 🙂
Many thanks to NewKDramaAddict for keeping Musings alive and well these past few weeks while I sorted through certain things; I’ll be blogging about just what those things are in the coming weeks. 🙂
For now, let’s jump right into the first Friday Fun selection of 2017! The dynamic duo we know as AKMU is back with a quirky take on the yodel. Enjoy~! Continue reading Friday Fun: AKMU – “Reality” (리얼리티)
Merry Christmas, Twinkles~! I wish you all love and peace today as you celebrate Christmas. 🙂
Episode 6 continues the story in much the same vein as the previous episodes–further development into the characters and story with a liberal smattering of humor nicely mixed in with the drama.
Despite the number of memorable scenes today, though, I’ve got to admit that Kim Eun Sook knows how to plan her cliffhangers. This is the last scene of the episode, and we get our first kiss in a way that makes sense. And yes…it’s not a trick of the camera angle as in Weighlighting Fairy Kim Bok Joo this past week. 🙂
Continue reading Goblin: Episode 6 Squee Moment
I’ve been doing errands left and right today, but I managed to take some time to watch today’s Goblin episode, and oh my cuteness! I just had to log in to blog about this short but squee-worthy moment. Sure, there are a great number of them in this episode–as with the other episodes–but this one is particularly cute. Enjoy~! Continue reading Goblin: Episode 5 Squee Moment
Happy Friday, Twinkles~! We have less than ten days before Christmas. I hope you’re not getting caught up in the flurry of the gift-buying season and are instead able to relax a bit this weekend and actually enjoy yourselves. 🙂
To help us usher in another weekend, I thought the men of Shinhwa could help us relax with their latest song, “Orange.” Continue reading Friday Fun: Shinhwa – “Orange” (오렌지)
Happy Friday, Twinkles~!
As you may have noticed by now, Kdramaland is atwitter with the goodness that we know as Goblin, so for this week’s “Friday Fun,” I thought it only appropriate to give a nod to one of the great songs that is helping to create such wonderful delight for us. 😉 Continue reading Friday Fun: Chan Yeol (찬열) and Punch (펀치) – Goblin OST 1 “Stay With Me”
Hi, Twinkles~! It’s been a while, huh? My apologies! I’ve certainly been remiss in my blogging, huh? 🙁
Well…I was going to wait until my final exams and grades were all posted to resume blogging, but I just couldn’t resist sharing with you my newest pixie crush. 😉 Yup, it’s Park Jin Joo who stole many of our hearts in Jealousy Incarnate as the deadpan nurse who masterfully handled our recalcitrant Lee Hwa Shin. 🙂 Once you see her, I think you may just end up developing a pixie crush yourselves. 🙂
So…here’s a return to our weekly “Friday Fun” with two songs that are designed to uplift your spirits and set your feet tapping. 🙂 Continue reading Friday Fun: Park Jin Joo
Sorry that I haven’t been blogging much recently, but I just couldn’t resist sharing this teaser of Hwarang with you. Oh. My. Goodness! Talk about eye candy galore! 😉 Continue reading Hwarang: Teaser #1
I can’t believe the month of October is over after today and with it, the opportunity for more walks down memory lane for 2016. 🙁
Ah well, all good things must come to an end at some time, I suppose, and there’s always next year as bittersweet as this may seem right now. On the bright side, it’ll just make us anticipate the “Walk down Memory Lane” for 2017 all the more! 😉
For our fourth and final memory for 2016’s “Walk down Memory Lane” then, I thought it only fitting that we conclude this year’s stroll through our memories with the blockbuster of 2013. 🙂 Thanks for being a part of so many wonderful memories…! Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: The Master’s Sun (2013)
In staying with this year’s “Walk down Memory Lane” stroll through the year 2013, it seems fitting that our third memory come from Heirs and the memories associated with that show that had so much potential but failed to deliver on so many levels by its conclusion.
Incidentally, this was the first time that I blogged for DramaFever, which was a fun experience in and of itself but one I was never able to repeat due to scheduling constraints. Continue reading Walk down Memory Lane: Heirs (2013)
